GENISTEIN

The most important isoflavone in soy, genistein acts as a natural antioxidant and anti-inflammatory for mature skin, particularly if it is undergoing changes due to abrupt hormonal imbalance. Genistein is also known for reducing the formation of age spots and helping to minimise those already present.

During menopause, hormonal changes decrease fibroblast activity leading to reduced collagen, oestrogen and hyaluronic acid content, more fragmented elastin fibres and decreased vascularity. An adequate oestrogen level is required to control the skin’s structural integrity and functional capacity; while genistein isn’t oestrogen, as a well studied isoflavone it is often used in prescriptions as an alternative for menopausal symptoms.

PLANT CELL CULTURE

Plant cells from moss roses (Portulaca grandiflora) have been shown both in vivo and in vitro to boost the expression of melatonin receptors in the skin. This can prove critical in the transmission of cellular signals related to “sleep” and self-repair. Utilizing melatonin-related ingredients, and addressing the circadian rhythm, represents a new and exciting path in mature skincare.

Use the Day Ampoules in the morning (rose bottle) and the Night Ampoules (golden spheres bottle) before bedtime.

Lightly massage over the face, neck and décolleté, replacing the usual serum, and follow with a moisturizer. Should you prefer to continue using your serum, the ampoules should be applied before the serum, followed by the moisturizer.

Each ampoule will last approx. 10 days when applied to face, neck and décolleté; i.e. one box of 6 ampoules (3 day and 3 night), will offer a 30-day cure cycle. Once the entire program is finalized, recommence the use of your serum as before.

After 4 to 6 months, or whenever needed, another cure should be initiated.
